We believe that the best quality advice follows on from the provision of good, detailed information.
Contact us to arrange your initial first meeting, which will be for at least an hour and is at an initial reduced rate. We firmly believe that it is only when we meet you face to face that we can understand your situation and give you the advice that is right for your particular circumstances. It is also a chance for you to meet us and see if you feel we would be able to work together.
What should you expect?
In the first part of the interview, you may do most of the talking. It is about you telling us what your situation is and what you hope to achieve by obtaining the assistance of a solicitor. We will then be able to provide you with some initial advice, and further information about timescales and likely costs. It is up to you once you have all this information, as to whether you wish to take things further and instruct us.
What should you bring with you?
We will need you to bring with you two forms of ID. This will be something with your photograph such as a passport or driving licence, and something with your address on it such as a utility or bank statement received by you within the last three months. If you have any paperwork that relates to your problem or situation please bring it along with you. The more information you have with you, the more likely it is we will be able to get to the route of the problem and provide you with specific advice. You are welcome to have someone to accompany you to the meeting. This may be someone that you feel will be able to support you, help you in providing the information, and absorb the advice you are provided. We do however adopt a policy of not allowing children into advice meetings. This is due to the sensitive nature of the things we may need to discuss.
What’s the fixed fee?
The cost of the first meeting is fixed at £120.00 including VAT for up to an hour, and £240.00 including VAT for a meeting lasting two hours. This is the maximum you will be charged for a first meeting. After the meeting you will be aware of your options and will be better placed to make an informed decision about how to move forward. We believe this option to sit down with you to discuss your situation is more useful and better value than any free initial advice over the telephone which we do not offer for very good reasons. We strive to provide you with quality, specific advice as well as good value for money. Payment will be due at the beginning of our meeting. We specialise in family law and understand that you may be in a difficult and highly stressful situation. That is why we will discuss with you your payment options at the first meeting and will attempt to accommodate you and your individual needs. In this regard we are able to offer fixed fees, pay as you go options and standing orders as methods of payment; whatever is best for you.
To book your meeting you can either contact us, email Alun Jones on firstname.lastname@example.org or simply book your meeting here.
Please note we do not provide free legal advice.
